Georgia High School Football Playoff Pairings

After twelve tough weeks of regular season football, the first round pairings are set for the 2008 Georgia high school football playoffs. All of the #1’s in each classification appear to be favorites to win state titles, but before filling out your brackets, you may want to take a look at a fact in the Atlanta Journal Constitution’s fun fact that since 1988 only 40% of the #1 teams at the end of the regular season won state titles.

Class AAAAA is the loaded classification with nationally-ranked Lowndes the front-runner with pressure likely to come from Camden County. Below are the first round match-ups…dates and times still need to be determined.
