Lowndes run for its fourth Georgia high school football championship in five years came to a screeching halt Friday night losing to unbeaten Grayson 17-7. Leading the way for the Rams was a tiny running back, who came-up big. 5-3, 135-pound Ean Pemberton rushed for 188-yards and both Grayson touchdowns to move the school into its first state semifinals next week. Lowndes came into the game ranked #4 by USA Today. Click here for game story.

The #1 team in AAAAA will be on the road Friday night to face #5 Grayson (12-0) because it lost a coin flip Saturday to determine the home team. The reason for the coin flip, both teams are region champs and that’s the way the state determines, who gets a home game. Click here to read about the Vikings (12-0) only “loss” so far this year.
